The concentrate volume and the finished batch volume are different measurements. When your matching instructions say “top up to” a volume, that means the total mixture in the fermenter, including the concentrate—not that amount of extra water. Check the exact guide for your kit before adding water. If your package and instructions disagree, send us photos so we can confirm the correct volume.
